Acclaimed young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A representative for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at women.

The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
