This event led to the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A toddler was among those injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
